The Papal Trail connects places related to John Paul II's presence in the region. The trail starts in Zagórz, and ends at the top of Chryszczata Mountain. Route of the trail It begins at the obelisk commemorating Pope John Paul II near the railway station in Zagórz. Next, it passes by a historic Orthodox church and leads to the Carmelite Monastery in Zagórz, and then crosses the Osława River towards the Greek Catholic church in Wielopole. The next stops are the peaks of Makówka Mountain in Tarnawa Górna, and Gruszka Mountain, leading afterwards to the Miarka peak above Olchowa, with a beautiful panorama over the entire Zagórz Municipality and a large part of the Bieszczady, Low Beskid, and the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains. Further on, the trail leads towards Mt. Gabry Wierch, passing by the abandoned former village of Choceń. From Mt. Gabry Wierch, which Karol Wojtyła visited, the trail goes to Chryszczata Mountain across Gawgań and Huczek peaks. From Huczek, the trail goes down to the former Huczwice village. Just after Huczwice, the trail passes by the Beaver Pond. This small artificial pond, set picturesquely among the woods, is a place to admire fauna and flora as well as beautiful landscapes. The last section of the trail leads to the peak of Chryszczata Mountain.
